Interface versions and compatibility¶
Check interface compatibility before deployment¶
Each Narwhal reader checks a document's schema name and version against the pair it supports, failing validation when either differs.
Inspect the contracts installed with the package:

Compare installed and candidate contract manifests before upgrading. If a field change breaks an existing reader, assign the interface a new schema version. Retain the previous code, configuration, profiles, and compatible state as one rollback set.
